And the winner is...
So just to fill you all in about my brush with success - i've been nominated for the Press Gazette Student Media Awards in the Best Online Journalist category. There is a swanky awards bash in London on July 2nd, but I can't go as i'm going to be in Denmark in a field with some friendly Scandinavians...
Besides, i've got little or no chance of winning. There are seven nominees and like the Mercury Music Prize has a token folk or classical nominee - I reckon i'm the token arts journalist - with my articles about cinemas, poets, artists and fashion designers. The prize will be won by someone who writes about 'gritty subjects' like tuition fees or homeless South American exchange students or something...
There is a nice prize of 500 quid up for grabs, so that would be handy, but i'm just proud to be nominated etc etc etc....
