The Lurpak statue???

The forward statue in centenary square is finally to be replaced

Of course we all knew that the council were going to move the statue from over the road rather than risk commissioning a new piece of art. What interests me most about the BBC article i've linked to above is that is says that the statue was known locally as the Lurpak statue because it looked like it was made out of butter - i've never heard that before and I don't know anyone who calls it that....bizarre.

Anyway - the stature got burnt down by a gang of cheeky youths and it went up a treat as you can see, as it was mainly made of fibreglass...
